Software Craftsmanship North America
July 08, 2009
Software Craftsmanship North America is all about mastering the craft of software development. The conference will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in Chicago.
The list of SCNA presenters reads like Who’s Who of Software Jedi Knighthood. A few names from the list:
- Robert C. Martin. “Uncle Bob” will tell us how to stay cool even when the schedule seems impossible, the requirements are ambiguous, distractions and meetings take all your time, and the sky is falling.
- Dave Astels. Author of the blog post that sparked the RSpec project. His presentation: How to pursue your passion for programming and resist the pressure to move “up” into management.
- Michael Feathers. Acting chair of the Codefest event at the last three OOPSLA conferences. His presentation will outline essential knowledge about our discipline that you don’t really pick up in apprenticeship.
Attendees who register before July 15th will only pay $99.00 for this full-day conference. Several members of ChicagoRuby have already registered. Hope to see you there!
