October Meeting Recap

October 20, 2007

Special thanks to Obtiva Corporation and Ryan Platte for providing a great place for ChicagoRuby.org to meet.

Victor Hong led the group in an examination of Hobo. Hobo accelerates the creation of views in Rails apps.

Next, Wil Chung moderated a discussion on ways we can make our Rails projects more successful. It’s not just about Rails. Many best practices can be applied to other languages and frameworks as well. Ideas discussed: test driven development, behavior driven development, and writing clear specifications.

Twelve people attended the October 2007 meeting. Many viewpoints, many ideas, much learning!

The next ChicagoRuby.org meeting will be Sat, Nov 17, 2007 at 3pm. Details will be available at Meetup.com.
