Beginner Topic: Agile Rails (30 minutes)

Bobby Jacob will review chapters 5 & 6 of Agile Web Development with Rails. Bring your book and your laptop for maximum benefit. Buy the PDF of the book if you’re really cool!

Intermediate Topic: Overview of RadiantCMS (30 minutes)

RadiantCMS is the Rails-based content management system that powers ChicagoRuby.org, Ruby-Lang.org, and many other sites. Ray Hightower will overview the RadiantCMS, including ways that our group can develop extensions. Matt Polito, from our group, will lead a team in developing extensions for RadiantCMS.

Advanced Topic: When All Else Fails, Go Rails Spelunking (30 minutes)

Grab your gear and join Wil Chung for a spelunking expedition through Rails. We won’t cover all of the Rails code :-) but you’ll learn some techniques you can use to explore on your own.

Wrap Up and Discussion of Next Agenda (15 minutes)
